and growing…

The picture above says it all: Kids with a passion and a joy for life, for peace, excited and committed to a better world now and for future generations. These are our future leaders, poised to each do their part in shaping the world to come. The LA Peace collaborative wants to see these upcoming leaders step into their roles with vision and hope, empowered with the tools and knowledge to build a better life for their families, neighborhoods, and in not so small a step, the world.

The LA Peace Collaborative coalesced around a common mission of building a youth peace movement and is ready to step into action. Towards this goal we have joined forces to ensure that as many LA area youth can get the unique opportunity to attend PeaceJam´s Global Call to Action Conference this September 11-13, 2008 at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and to spend 3 days with Nobel Peace Laureates including Desmond Tutu, Rigoberta Menchu Tum, Shirin Ebadi, Betty Williams, Adolpho Perez Esquivel, Jodi Williams and Jose Ramos Horta.

Help us make that happen!
